Top ratings for the May 2009 conference
Our second conference held in May 2009 at the Blackpool Hilton was a great success with over 95% of delegates rating the content, value for money and organisation as good or exceeding expectations.
As well as the expert speakers the conference was attended by local MP Joan Humble and Blackpool Councillors, Ian Fowler and Tony Lee.
Mick Connelly of Blackpool Council chaired the proceedings.

The Speakers in 2009 were:
John Clements is a clinical psychologist now in private practice.
Alan Bignall has worked for 25 years for many voluntary organisations
including, the Leonard Cheshire Foundation, Mencap and MIND, developing and managing services for people with learning disabilities and mental health
difficulties.
John Mortlock is a leading authority on the sexual development of people with
Autism.
Mick Connelly (Chair) is manager of the Physical, Sensory and Complex Needs
service in Blackpool Council’s Children and Young People’s Department.
